I love the holidays, but the chaos that comes with it can be overwhelming. At least we have a little break before Valentine's hits us.

I read an article that was a good reminder of the pitfalls of shopping online. A few of the main points were...

• Watch out for so called "free" or low-cost trials or samples that may require high shipping fees
• Be sure there is a posted privacy policy that guarantees the safety of your personal information
• When buying, have a look for an "s" after the http: in the Web site address. That means its secure and your credit card info is protected. As in https://
• Be sure to hang onto a copy of your order and confirmation number, in case you need later

Just being cautious is always a good idea.
